From Orientation to Impact: Designing Role-Specific Onboarding That Actually Drives Performance

Most onboarding programs are built to “welcome” new hires,  not to prepare them to perform truly.
This workshop is designed to change that. In this practical, one-hour session, participants will learn how to move beyond generic orientation checklists and design role-specific onboarding experiences that build real confidence, competence, and momentum from day one. The focus is on turning vague role expectations into clear, structured learning journeys that help new hires ramp faster and stay longer.

Through real-world examples and simple, repeatable frameworks, participants will explore what a true 30–60–90 day onboarding journey looks like and how it differs from traditional “day one” activities. By the end of the session, they’ll know how to translate role requirements into clear learning paths, design meaningful milestones, and create consistent manager touchpoints that actively support new hire success.
The goal isn’t complexity, it’s clarity, structure, and practical tools that can be applied immediately to improve onboarding experiences across any role or team.
