### When

**November 18 | 9:00 AM EST | 3:00 PM CEST**

Your leadership development program got great feedback.

People loved the workshop.
The facilitator was excellent.
The content was relevant.
The satisfaction scores looked great.

And three weeks later… everyone is leading the same way they did before.

Sound familiar?

Much of the leadership development budget today still goes toward some variety of content: workshops, courses, e-learning, frameworks, or another slide deck on emotional intelligence.

And most of it doesn't change how anyone actually leads.

The problem is that knowing what good leadership looks like and being able to do it when it matters are two very different things.

Leaders don't change their behavior simply because they learned something new.

They change because they've practiced it enough times that it holds up under pressure.

### In this Challenge Accepted session

Together with **Jennifer Stringer**, we'll explore why so much leadership development stops at content, and what it actually takes to move from learning about leadership to practicing leadership.

We'll look at where the gap between knowledge and behavior comes from, how to recognize it in your own programs, and how to start building practice into leadership development without redesigning everything from scratch.

And you won't just hear about it.

**You'll try it.**

Jennifer will lead a short live exercise so you can experience the difference between being told what to do and actually practicing doing it.  Expect less presenting, more participating.

### What you'll walk away with

By the end of the session, you'll have:

- A clear answer to why leadership programs can get great ratings and still create little behavior change
- A practical way to tell the difference between content and practice in your own programs
- A live experience of what meaningful leadership practice can actually look like
- A simple way to add a practice moment to something you're already running,  without adding budget
